WHO WE ARE

The Nevada State Apartment Association (NVSAA) is a not-for-profit organization who provides the Nevada multifamily housing industry with legislative support, education, and community outreach to benefit our membership and the communities we serve. The NVSAA is devoted to supporting the diversity, integrity and ever-changing environment of the multifamily industry. NVSAA represents over 175,000+ rental homes, made up of small, medium, and large rental housing owners throughout the State of Nevada.

NVSAA’S PRIMARY OBLIGATIONS TO ITS MEMBERS & THE INDUSTRY

LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY
The NVSAA has extensive Government Affairs objectives. First and foremost, we are here to serve you on all legislative issues. We educate you on government activity happening at the Federal, State and at the city or local level through work with the National Apartment Association (NAA). NVSAA monitors all local city council and local organizations by utilizing its experienced Legislative Committee, who monitors all local legislation and how this legislation may affect the membership of the Association. Through monitoring and communicating these potential dangers, NVSAA strives to protect Nevada’s apartment assets and integrity. With our members’ combined efforts, NVSAA can serve the industry’s best interests and your best interests.

EDUCATION
The NVSAA offers a variety of educational offerings throughout the year to fit the needs of rental property owners, mid-to upper-level management company executives, property supervisors, maintenance supervisors and on-site personnel.

Education is critical in expanding and improving the multifamily industry. NVSAA’s education program was designed and organized by your NVSAA Education Committee. The key to the success in our industry — and that of our businesses individually — lies in creating educated professionals who understand important issues and have top notch skills. Not only does education make for better management and better employees but it minimizes potential liabilities for owners and managers. NVSAA Education is put together with your needs in mind.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The NVSAA is dedicated to making a significant difference in your community. Each year, Association members, along with hard-working volunteers on the NVSAA Outreach Committee, focus on several projects to assist local non-profit organizations. Together with you, the focus is on helping to improve the lives of individuals in our community. These organizations benefit from NVSAA’s generous contributions in terms of volunteer hours, in-kind services and direct funding.

NVSAA holds several outreach projects each year, such as, food drives, clothing drives, auctions, community improvement projects (like “Paint the Town”) and aiding less fortunate families in our community.

SOCIAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
Throughout the year NVSAA hosts dinners featuring current issues facing our industry and with speakers who discuss topics which benefit members and non-members. NVSAA has an extensive calendar of activities, meetings and social gatherings which are designed to provide members an opportunity to build business and personal relationships, showcasing their company’s products and services. Most of all, NVSAA just wants you to have fun!!

Some examples of NVSAA social events are:

• Market Trends
• Annual Golf and Putting Classic
• Bowling Social
• Poker
• Maintenance Mania
• … and the Jewel Awards
