New FHFA Tenant Protections
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has introduced new tenant protections for multifamily properties financed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, set to take effect on February 28, 2025. Landlords are subject to these new regulations will need to prepare for these changes by updating their lease agreements and property management practices to comply with the new regulations.
