We’re All Mad Here!  The 7th Annual Northern Nevada Jewel Awards are upon us and the opportunity to showcase the best and brightest of Northern Nevada’s Multifamily Housing Industry is fast approaching.  This year’s event is on Saturday, March 28th, and is being held at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

The NVSAA Jewel Awards are given in recognition of superior contributions and exemplary achievements in the Multifamily Housing Industry.  It is now time for you to nominate your industry stars in their professional categories.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, February 3, 2020 at 9:00am

The deadline for submitting metric sheets and backup materials is Monday, February 17, 2020 at 9:00am.

Below you will find the criteria for each award category.  Please make sure your nominee meets the criteria for their category and they are willing to be nominated and part of the judging process before submitting your nomination.

Northern Nevada INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

FOR ALL AWARDS:

  • The nominee must be in this position for one (1) year and currently employed in said position to qualify for any award.
  • Provide 12 consecutive months of metrics and history of your performance.
  • YOU MUST BE A MEMBER IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR AN AWARD.

 

Regional Manager of the Year

The winning Regional Manager must be a member of NVSAA in good standing and will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

The following dates, January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, should be used when submitting your metrics (12 months of history).

You must be in this position for one (1) year and currently employed in this position to qualify. Your Metrics need to be from the current Portfolio you are managing.

Community of the Year (1-150 Units)

Community of the Year (Tax Credit)

The winning Community will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

– INCOME GROWTH

– NEW ** Finalists will submit a video highlighting your community and team.

 

Community Manager of the Year

The winning Community Manager will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

The following dates, January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, should be used when submitting your metrics (12 months of history).

You must be in this position for one (1) year and currently employed in this position to qualify. You can be at multiple properties during the time frame noted above. Your Metrics should be from the current property you are managing.

– SUPERVISOR RECOMMENDATION (verify in good standing with employer)

– NET OPERATING INCOME
– ECONOMIC OCCUPANCY

Assistant Manager of the Year

The winning Assistant Manager will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

You must be in this position for one (1) year and currently employed in this position to qualify. You can be at multiple properties during the time frame noted above. Your Metrics should be from the current property you are managing.

Leasing Consultant of the Year

The winning Consultant will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

You must be in this position for one (1) year in order to qualify for this award. You can be at multiple properties during the time frame noted above. Your Metrics should be from the current property you are employed.

Maintenance Supervisor of the Year

The winning Supervisor will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

You must be in this position for one (1) year in order to qualify for this award. You can be at multiple properties during the time frame noted above. Your Metrics should be from the current property you are managing.

Best New Community Design

This award recognizes the Developer/Owner/Management Team who implemented the best new community design built in 2019.  The judges’ on-site tour will consider innovation, floor plan functionality, interior apartment features, site layout, architecture, signage, curb appeal, landscape design, level of completion, maintenance and impact on the surrounding community.  The winner must be a member of NVSAA in good standing.

 

Best Renovated Community Design

This award recognizes the Developer/Owner/Management Team who implemented the best renovated community design initiated after January 1, 2019 with a minimum investment of $5,000 per unit.  In addition, before and after photos are required to be submitted, once you receive your nomination notification.  The judges’ on-site tour will consider innovation, age of the property, interior apartment upgrades and features, construction size and scope, architectural design, amenities, landscape design, level of completion, maintenance and impact on the surrounding community.  The winner must be a member of NVSAA in good standing.

 

Reputation Management

The winning Community will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

Reviews posted during the following dates, January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, will be reviewed.

The winning Support Staff Person of the Year displays professionalism in their position, exhibits highest quality customer service, and meets deadlines requested of them.

Property Management Company of the Year

The winning PMC will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

– PORTFOLIO ECONOMIC OCCUPANCY

– BONUS CATEGORY (NVSAA Participation) (Additional Points ONLY Rewarded to Break a Tie, if necessary)

PMC must have 50% of entire portfolio registered as Members of the NVSAA.
