The 9th Annual Northern Nevada Jewel Awards are upon us and the opportunity to showcase the best and brightest of Northern Nevada’s Multifamily Housing Industry is fast approaching. This year’s event is on Saturday, April 15th, and is being held at Grand Sierra Resort.

The NVSAA Jewel Awards are given in recognition of superior contributions and exemplary achievements in the Multifamily Housing Industry.  It is now time for you to nominate your industry stars in their professional categories.

The deadline for submitting metric sheets and backup materials is Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Below you will find the criteria for each award category.  Please make sure your nominee meets the criteria for their category and they are willing to be nominated and part of the judging process before submitting your nomination.

DIRECTIONS
CLICK ON THE AWARD CATEGORY  HEADING THAT YOU WANT TO NOMINATE.  DOWNLOAD, FILL OUT AND RETURN METRICS to events@nvsaa.org by Tuesday, February 28, 2023.  Once your metrics have been returned and submitted, you will be billed $10.00 for each submission.  Only one submission per person/community please.  Multiple entries for the same person/property, does not increase their chances of winning.  NOT ALL CATEGORIES HAVE METRICS but you will find what is required  to be submitted under each category heading.  When you send the metrics back, MAKE SURE THE FILE TITLE INCLUDES THE CATEGORY AND NAME. Also, submissions must be in EXCEL.

Northern Nevada INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

FOR ALL AWARDS:

  • The nominee must be in this position for one (1) year and currently employed in said position to qualify for any award.
  • Provide 12 consecutive months of metrics and history of your performance.
  • YOU MUST BE A MEMBER IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR AN AWARD.

You must be in this position for one (1) year in order to qualify for this award. You can be at multiple properties during the time frame noted above. Your Metrics should be from the current property you are managing.

Maintenance Technician of the Year – click here for metrics

 The winning Technician will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

Best New Community Design

This award recognizes the Developer/Owner/Management Team who implemented the best new community design built in 2022.  The judges’ on-site tour will consider innovation, floor plan functionality, interior apartment features, site layout, architecture, signage, curb appeal, landscape design, level of completion, maintenance and impact on the surrounding community.  The winner must be a member of NVSAA in good standing.

 

Best Renovated Community Design

This award recognizes the Developer/Owner/Management Team who implemented the best renovated community design initiated after January 1, 2022 with a minimum investment of $5,000 per unit.  In addition, before and after photos are required to be submitted, once you receive your nomination notification.  The judges’ on-site tour will consider innovation, age of the property, interior apartment upgrades and features, construction size and scope, architectural design, amenities, landscape design, level of completion, maintenance and impact on the surrounding community.  The winner must be a member of NVSAA in good standing.

 

Reputation Management

The winning Community will be judged on the following metrics listed below.

Reviews posted during the following dates, January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022, will be reviewed.

The winning Support Staff Person of the Year displays professionalism in their position, exhibits highest quality customer service, and meets deadlines requested of them.

PMC must have 50% of entire portfolio registered as Members of the NVSAA.
